The Invisalign system allows us to offer you a more beautiful smile, without the inconveniences and aesthetic hassles associated with braces. Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners to guide your teeth into a proper, straight and more appealing alignment. Advantages that Invisalign offers over traditional braces include: Invisalign aligners are removable: This makes eating, and especially brushing and flossing, far easier than with braces. This can reduce the risk of staining and decay that come with traditional braces. Invisalign Aligners are clear: The aligners are clear, smooth, and fitted exactly to your teeth, making them almost unnoticeable. In situations where you need them to be absolutely invisible such as a close-up photo remember: they are removable! Invisalign is comfortable: The aligners are created from medical grade plastics which are molded to match your teeth. They use gradual pressure as you progress through the series of aligners to move your teeth. They do not scratch the inside of your cheeks and mouth and do not have the risk of allergies associated with metallic braces. Invisalign is effective: As the system is computer assisted, it offers you the ability to view how the treatment should progress and what the results should be: all in advance of the actual treatment. The Invisalign system: First we take pictures, x-rays and an impression of your teeth. These are used to ensure that we have the most accurate record of your current alignment. We then use computer imaging software to create the series of aligners that will make up your Invisalign treatment. Each aligner is worn for around two weeks (only removed for eating and oral hygiene), and then replaced with the next one in the series. With each progressive aligner we control the amount of movement and target the specific teeth or area being aligned, offering you greater precision in the results. The number of aligners and length of your treatment will depend on your specific needs.
